Final Steps to Close
You’ve negotiated the terms, secured financing, and passed inspections. Now it’s time to lock it in.
Final Walk-Through
This is your last inspection before closing—your opportunity to confirm the property’s condition and ensure all seller obligations have been met. It usually takes place the day before or the day of closing. The property should be vacant, clean, and exactly as agreed.
Closing
At closing, you’ll sign the settlement statement, loan documents, and finalize payment of any remaining funds—either by certified check or wire to escrow. Once the transaction is complete and the deed is recorded with the county, legal ownership transfers to you.
